Survival Kit Report is an independent editorial site that compares survival food kits using the figures sellers publish on their own pages. It is written by an editorial team and does not name individuals or claim credentials.
Who runs the site
The site is an informational comparison guide. It is not a seller, does not ship food and does not hold inventory. The byline on each page is the Survival Kit Report editorial team. There is no contact channel on this site, and no forms.
How kits are compared
Every comparison uses the same five criteria, which are printed on the best survival food kits page:
- Price per 1,000 calories.
- Calories per day as stated.
- Shelf life stated, and under what condition.
- Returns stated.
- What is needed to prepare it, meaning water and heat.
Prices, calories, servings, shelf-life statements and return terms are read from each seller's product and policy pages, and each page shows the date it was read. Cost per 1,000 calories is calculated from those figures, and the arithmetic is shown on the page. Where a seller's page does not state something, the guide says so rather than filling the gap.
This site does not claim to have tasted, tested or used any kit. It reports what the sellers say and what public sources such as Ready.gov and FDA say.
How the site is paid
Links to My Patriot Supply and Ready Hour are affiliate links, and the site earns a commission if a reader buys after clicking one, at no extra cost to the reader. 4Patriots has no affiliate link on this site and is reviewed on the same checks. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Corrections
When a seller's price, calorie count or policy changes, the page is corrected and the read date is updated, and each page's update history records the change. There is no email address for corrections. Pages are reviewed on a regular schedule, with the next review for most pages due 2026-12-13, and prices should always be confirmed on the seller's page before ordering.
